hey john, i'm glad you got my msg and could come in and give your side of the story, but not able to get back to me.

1. i'm not sure why you only received $1500cdn or if forgot what you recieved, but i paid $1850cdn (still a good deal, not complaining). if you could double check, that would be great.

2. perhaps the rear bumper wasn't damaged when you shipped it, but it was damaged when i recieved it, and you were even notified by your shipping company, and you then told me we could work out the damages after i recieved it.

3. cracking on the exterior wasn't that big of deal since they had to fix the broken tabs, but you can't see that in your pictures.

4. i've never seen pics from the first html until now, but u did mention the sides needed "minor" work (vague defination of minor btw), but i did apologize for not noticing that.

and still to this date, you haven't even given me a hard answer of whether you will compensate or not. if you would have purchased insurance, we wouldn't be in this problem.

I'm sorry that UPS had damaged the rear bumper more and i really wish I had the pics so i could claim it. Since it's been over 6 months, I highly doubt they would let us claim it now.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience and I hope everyone can see both sides of the story.
But so even if it was UPS, wouldn't it be your fault for not getting back to jonkou888 in a timely manner so that you could file a claim with UPS? It's the seller's job to file the claim as he is the one who shipped...

Sucks that this happened for both of you.

Also, not saying one way or the other but you can edit your thread after the item sells and it won't show up as edited... so no real way to know what pics were there and which weren't.... which also sucks

Hopefully you guys can work something out

What is it exactly that you want from him? You said he had offered to compensate you for the damages. What did he offer? Give us some numbers

i hope the seller doesn't get offended and i don't know the buyer, but to be honest, i did see the pics in the for sale thread and i remember the sideskirts pictures being more compressed and more ambigious, altho the pics now on the thread look a lot clearer. in fact, i could've sworn there were only 2 pics, not the 4 i see now.

i have no way of proving this, obviously, and i'm not accusing the seller of anything, so i may just be remembering it wrong. again, i only skimmed the pics last time so in all likelyhood i probably just remember wrong, but my first impression was "hmmm..looks kinda small and dark to be able to tell the damages".

anyways, that's why i advised the buyer to save the html code, cuz if it was me, i would've taken screenshots, copies of original pictures, original html saved on my comp, etc etc.

but oh well, live and learn, i guess

he did offer to compensate for damages, but never did. i asked him numerous times, and he never said anything. so i told, i think $200 would be fair, and then he finally replied and said that wasn't fair, and stopped replying again. what i want from him is an answer, and of course if possible, money compensation. but he can't even say, "no, i'm not paying you." he just ignores me.

thanks for your opinion, and advice. i was thinking the same thing, but i wasn't for sure, so i never said anything. and then from what Mar48 says, it doesn't show as edited, makes me think even more.....
