I'm glad to hear that.

FTR, spoonfed's account has been flagged, he's gone.

I have his home address and if my issue with him is not resolved, I will pay him a visit. I am disappointed in myself for even giving this kid the light of day. I am not one to immediately use coercion as a method to solve my problems, but people like this are not generally swayed by proper arguments. I apologize on his behalf for this horrid behavior.

In my situation, he contacted me at my work number and claimed to know several members closely who would vouch for him. This included Cody, Val(dfws2k), etc. Needless to say I did not trust this at his word. I asked him to deposit the full amount of what my parts were worth before I shipped them. I then agreed to refund his money when I received my parts. This all went according to my plan...until the day of delivery. RL carriers(not sure if they are involved in these scams or not) informed me the parts had arrived and that they would be delivered first thing in the morning. So I then refunded his money(this included monedy back to Jeff Nord and $1000 to LJ at full blown for parts on his behalf) The morning of the supposed delivery, I called RL to confirm and they told me the package didnt exist and they had no record of it. I am still waiting to see if paypal grants me the money back. For now, I have filed numerous police/fbi/etc reports and I am waiting for those to pan out.

Yea he tried to buy a lot of my parts, kept lowballing and trying to get me to throw in tons of extra stuff. Then I had phone problems, didn't have a phone for a day and a half, got a phone and had lots of messages telling me I'm a scammer (keep in mind no money had changed hands and his needy attitude made me not want to deal with him).

I told him good luck in his future endeavors and gladly ended talking to him.

Wow this guy was very active. I didn't expect the site to do anything to help its not logical like I said it was me being to trusting cause I've only been a guest who dominately makes purchases. I only created thread because I know how I feel about my car trying to stop others from scammed also. Look like he was busy tho. And PayPal also still hasn't refunded they are investigating still. He also hasn't reply'd to my claim.

i had this happen a couple years ago on the evo forum. guy scammed me and was noted as scamming others across the US within the same month. however, he lived only an hour and 20 mins from me.

long story short, a friend of mine is a sheriff and got the guy's list of addresses and payed each one a visit.

he literally dragged him out of the doorway of his friend's house, put him in the cruiser, and took him for a little trip to an abandoned farm in glades county(about 30 mins away). they had a nice "talk" and the scammer (tyler young) was left there at 2am to find his way home with no phone or light.

this was all "off-the-record" of course(and we had enough proof to put him in jail and wait around for results, but we wanted our money back most of all, so it stayed off the books). but the guy paid up via the paypal claims within the following few days, and fled his residence the following week according to his roommate.

i have learned that anyone can become a scammer at any point. and it is extremely difficult to recoup your losses unless a face-to-face confrontation with authority is had. not so much like the angry villagers chasing the beast into the castle, but smarter.
