Default EVAP sensor taking forever to be "Ready"

I put on 150 miles since the last reset. I have a smog coming up and everything is ready except EVAP. I've been driving for the past 3 days all over town and on the highway. It's about 50/50. I tried crusing at 55, then 60 an then 65. Been through stop and go traffic, city driving and highway commutes. Evap is still not ready, it's pissing me off.

How I get this sensor to ready up faster so I can pass my smog?

I use my obd2 reader to check. It was all ready a few days ago and I accidentally pressed the reset button so I have to ready it again. Who knows how long it took for it be ready before, could've taken weeks.

You probably need to fill the tank. Get it around 3/4's I think.

if that's the only one that's not ready yet, you're good to go. it'll pass smog with 1 incomplete readiness code.

If that's the only one you're fine. It's ok to have one still not reset, unless they changed the law this year.

holy crap really?? never knew that but if it's true, i'll take it. the only one that's not ready is the evap.
Ill call my smog place tomorrow and make sure that they're ok with it but if they say ok, that'll make things much easier.

Monitor will run easiest with a half tank. That's your problem. Do not fill up.

In NY, 2001 and newer cars can pass with one incomplete monitor. 1996-2000 can have two incomplete monitors and pass.
