It's grand central station at our feeders as well. Snow and freezing wind will do that.
Not snow and not too cold, but we had a little Grand Central going on for a while. Love it!
I'll call this "Rear View." I was quite close to the feeder.
Haven't seen this guy in a while...through the window.

: I have camera buddies that have built a blind so they can grab bird photos.
I saw your finches on the thistle feeder pic, Mike. I used to put out the thistle bags and they were quite popular, of late, the finches prefer the seed feeders. Those birds know what they want!

Not sure why, but it seems we have more finches this year than previous years...... the picture I took was thru our kitchen window at a feeder 2 feet away.... our other feeder is maybe 30 feet away, and has had 6-8 finches feeding most of the time....
With the exception of a handful of migratory Blue Jays, the winter birds that visit my feeders are either earth toned or black. We set out an “energy” suet, sunflower seeds and peanuts. Maybe something else to attract some color.
Following Lainey’s examples, I’ve attach a few photos taken from inside my kitchen windows of the “earth tone” birds who visit my feeders.
I had a ton of activity at my feeders this AM. Grabbed a few shots too....even made a little collage of today's and recent pics. Turkey is in the oven.........
