On the subject of houses...this sad little house is where I grew up. It was a very modest home but it wasn't sad when we lived there. The neighborhood has really suffered. That house was my parents' first home and was purchased for about $6K in 1960. Three bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom, and one former dining room became a bedroom for my brother. It had a tiny back yard, the houses were close, but we had some happy memories there. A swing set in the yard when we were little, a lilac tree for Mom, and a grill for Dad and we were good to enjoy life as we knew it. Mom loved the window over the kitchen sink as she could look at the tiny back yard while doing dishes. Things were very different back then for sure.

I am meeting the adoption volunteer, Analie, and the male kitty, "Honey" on Wednesday at 5:30 pm at PetSmart in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. My adoption application was reviewed and is good to go and I should be bringing Honey home with me. I think he'll be very good for me. A purr-machine-affectionate-kitty makes the world a better (or more tolerable place) for me. I love me a good kitty cat!

Since I moved 24 times before I was 21 years old, I won't try to post all of the houses I lived in, but I will say that the 12 years I have lived in the house we are in now is the longest I have ever lived in one place.
