Adam,
Congrats and enjoy yourself!!
Always challenge yourself to be the dumbest guy in the room by seeking out and surrounding yourself with the best and brightest.
It teaches you to never be satisfied and to stretch every day. Over time the task will become harder and harder as you learn more an more.

Thank you! I'll be working in Engine Noise and VIbration, so I'll be doing a lot of testing and research into vibrations and engine isolation.

Ohh! I can only hope! That would be incredible!

Trust me, if there is any one thing I've learned in engineering school, it's to listen to absolutely everyone in the room. I can always learn something.

Adam graduated from Virginia Tech on Friday, May 12 and Saturday May, 13. The whole school's graduation on the 12th was held in the football stadium and it was raining and cold. Still, it was a great day, and all of us were very proud of our sons and daughters. The individual schools held their graduation ceremonies on Saturday in the basketball arena. This time each student was called by name to pick up his or her diploma. It was a great day. Now, the next stage begins.

Today, Honda sent a flatbed to pick up Adam's Si and transport it to Ohio. Tomorrow the movers are coming to pack and ship his furniture and things. On Thursday he's leaving Blacksburg for Ohio and we're going to spend a few days with him to help him find an apartment. For 30 days he gets to stay in a temporary apartment provided by Honda.

His first day of work at Honda is June 12 for orientation.

Liz and I have very mixed feeling. On the one hand we're thrilled that he's starting his career and his lifelong dream has come true. On the other hand he's permanently out of the house and 9 hours away. While he was in school it didn't feel permanent, now it does.

Congratulations to him and to you for raising such a wonderful son. I am sure you will miss him but he is on his own now and I am sure he will receive a lot of support. Wishing him the best of luck.

Congrats Rob & Liz & Adam, you all have plenty to feel great about.
I'm a little confused, why isn't Adam driving the Si to Ohio?
