No idea. The whole weekend is racing on the beach for cars/motorcycles from past eras. The tow trucks, signs, everything are period. Here's entry details: Race Entry | The Race of Gentlemen
They were announcing some of the years and offering info and history. They mix in bracket racing in the classes with fun runs, so there was a race every 30 seconds the entire time I was there. The whole thing was pretty cool to see. The track can't be more than a two hundred yards and have maybe a few thousand spectators on Sunday.
I finally had a chance to get there from noon til about 2 on Sunday. Sun straight up, not a cloud in the sky and brutally hot. My obsession with shooting under brutal conditions continues.... I really need to do something about that. Digging through these and processing a few is right on the list behind the rest of Fiji and the Finger Lakes. Eventually....
Took a ton of pics this past weekend. Will do a separate thread when I get done going through them. Isn't that a sunrise shot over the Atlantic? Or is it over the bay taken from the beachside?

But the way you captured the girl with the flag would have put you on the cover or centerfold of many a magazine back when gentlemen raced!
I was going through some 35MM pictures that I found in my files, and discovered this one that Bea took while we were flying up the Hudson River corridor in our plane, obviously sometime before 9/11. It was so neat to be looking up at the top of the Twin Towers. I think we were on the way to visit Bea's sister who lived in Vermont at the time.
Unfortunately, this is a view that will never be seen again.
