August 14 was 5 years since my dad died. And yesterday (August 21) would have been my parents' 74th anniversary.

Sad, but enjoy the memories.

I just posted in the "Shoot the Breeze" thread...some of Mom's little nest egg is going to Disney World.

Sorry to hear about the passing. I felt so guilty, when my Mom finally died. After years of rapidly declining Alzheimer's Dz. The ordeal was finally over. It was a relief.

Glad your Mom's passing was more peaceful.

I decided to look for my mother's home address (which no longer exists) on Google Earth, and lo and behold it was there! With her out front! She used to walk around the block almost every day. She passed away in 2015 and the house passed away not long before she did for a new, much bigger and more expensive home - the norm now in her neighborhood. The new house has a new address, so I'm very happy about that. The old address will forever be known as The Fairbanks House. Here's a pic.

I just finished a walk and came back and saw your mom walking. Very cool find.

It's interesting that when you google the address, from the air you see the new house. But from street view the old.

^Way cool! When I Google my address I see my Suzuka S2000 in the driveway with the hardtop on it. That was such a short time. The top was on it when I moved here (March 2008) but then it was upstairs in a bedroom. I sold the car years ago.
