I DD mine and enjoy it each day.

Someday in the future when mine's wore out, I'll but one of these garage queens from the folks that hid them away and DD that one too.

I've been daily driving mine for the last 9 months, rain/stop and go traffic, it just makes the drive to wherever you're going a fun experience. Only thing is Ive been putting way too many miles on her, time do daily my E36

For me the S great for quick trips around town, i.e. the grocery store or stop by friends on the weekends with nice weather or of course going to the track but driving 30 miles down a straight road to work is better served by my sedan. It's got more room, a usable coffee holder, is quieter so I can take phone calls, and keeps the miles off the S.

I agree that DD your S2K to work does take away the smile over time. Our office just move to downtown and now the smile is back passing all the commuters on the interstate with the top down. Later BD

Work is like a 10 minute walk for me in SF. The S is saved for random trips to grocery stores far away so it gives me an excuse to drive it, or after work stress relief drives around the mountains. It's my one and only car, so there are times when I drive it an hour down on the freeway, to visit my parents. But those trips are still pretty fun, with the top down in good weather.

Originally bought my car for just the weekend but then I thought, why? For the last 6 years, it's been my daily driver while my former daily driver is now my weekend car.

It's a relatively comfortable car.

I've done about 1,300 miles a month since I bought the car 2.5 years ago. Right now the tough decision I'm facing is whether I want to buy a second set of wheels so I stop killing 200tw tires commuting, or just buy a $1k shit box. Wheels might win
