so here's what I'm getting from all this

1. change the engine oil.
2. wash and wax the car
3. raise tire pressure to 40 psi
4. leave it alone until the spring

what about diff., brake and tranny fliud?

my S only has about 5K on it.

Forgot about the battery. Thanks, and I do, do the occasional track/autocross so I'll do the brakes in the spring.

You should also consider the battery.

Plug the intake hole. Another poster just reported mice having gotten into his airbox and ate a hole in his air filter.

Do you absolutely have to put it up for the winter? I'm a new owner and thought I might be able to still drive it except in the worst snow and ice. I live in Maryland

Hmmm....I hadn't given much thought to little creatures wanting to live in my new car during storage and chew things up. I read in another post to put steel wool and some type of ceramic stuff in the tail pipes. What is this 'ceramic' stuff and where do I get it? Do moth balls help as well?

Also, what happens if you leave your battery in during storage for winter (about 5-6 months here in Michigan). Does some type of corrosive process start occurring?
