Default My iPod install

Here is my setup.

Originally, I was planning on installing it on my visor, but with the specific help from other members and very creative idea from LakeLaPlante, I have finished my iPod setup.

First and foremost... sound quality: I give it 7.5/10
Having multiple connection from CD changer input to RCA to 1/8" stereo degrades a bit of analog quality. And it is way better than using iTrip FM transmitter.

Plus, the Belkin auto adaptor works out nicely since the attached 1/8" jack amplifies signal to the OEM deck w/ volume control.

If you plug in through iPod's headphone jack using this setup, it will sound like ass - just not enough power and quality.

There is a bit of hiss and iPod processor making noise when songs first start playing, but they both fade away.

I felt this was the best setup on an S because it gives you total control over the device and it is very convenient plugging it in or out. And it does not get in the way of shifting!

Let me know what you guys think.

It may take awhile before I get the picture to fit properly.

It's the new super mini!
I think if you copy it to your hard drive or you the image in 1600x1200 it's almost viewable.

nice install, what size ipod is it? and how easy is it to play around with the ipod and change the song etc while driving around? i would think with it being that low down it would require you to take your eyes off the road for a couple seconds...just a thought

Thanks YOD88.
It's the 15 GB model.
I just put my selection in random mode and just press skip if I don't like what it picked. It's the last button on the right so finding it with your finger is quite easy.
