Default Can I open a AP2 DBW throttle body?

Can I open the black sensor and inspect it or would it destroy or uncalibrate the unit?

Also, If I wanted to clean the TB, I am under the impression that I should not move the TB plate by hand or it will uncalibrated the unit?

Any help with understanding what I can do to troubleshoot or clean this unit would help. Please note this is a DBW Throttle body and not a regular one.
Maintenance tips are not interchangeable.

I didn't see anything about that being serviceable in the service manual. Inspection and cleaning of the throttle body does not include opening that part of the unit.

May be a pe-loaded spring coil in there,so avoid opening. but if brave go for it,doubt there is a problem in there though regarding dirt ect.
Don't think moving the TB plate will harm it though, its just a potentiometer.<like my VW polo and I have looked in there before>

Move the throttle plate all you want. I do it all the time at work (Honda engine factory final repair). Although I wouldn't recommend moving while the engine was running.
