New Owner Salvaged CR #141
Yes it's Salvaged. Buts it's a CR! Think I paid too much but got excited and figured I'd never have another opportunity based on where prices have gone. PO wasn't big on maintaining the car. Tires are mismatched, srs light on, no radio code, seat belt was never replaced after the accident, window cracked, fender liners and under tray missing, paint is rough, drivers door panel is AP1, seats need cleaned BAD. Drivers fender has rust, rust on drivers A Pilar most likely from fender contact in the accident. Some rust in the engine bay. Bushings look dry. Heater doesn't blow hot, betting there is air in the system. Needs a coolant exchange. A/C blows cold!
I've ordered a bunch of new OEM parts, Enkei wheels and Conti tires. Clay bar'd the hood, front fenders and roof so far, it's coming back. Working on full fluids, OEM spark plugs, air filter, battery and more. Had to clay bar windshield and side glass because of paint overspray. Windows were filthy. Interior is surprisingly good except for the filthy seats and sun visors. Got the radio code, radio works but cd mech sounds toast and a few buttons take planetary forces to register a press. My to-do list is extensive.
Certainly not a museum piece but it's my CR. I'm about 30 minutes from Barber motorsport park, already signed up for autocross and a track day. Was just there today for Indy car. I can't wait to get on track.

Awesome, congrats! Glad to see it in good hands. I’ve got my track days booked for the year but I’m planning on barber and Nola for next year.
are you planning on any Solo National events?

No solo events for me. This will be my first time on a track. Think they require 4 or 5 events before you can go alone. I've only done autocross and that was years (12?) ago.
If you have any tips I'm all ears!
