i know there are many of these but i am not to computer savy and i was wondering if someone can help/teach me how to make a pictures i have the correct size. I tried to upload it today but it said an error so i am assuming it was to big !! thanks guys !

 

Put a picture in your albums, click the avatar button - it does all the work for you

 

But when I try and do it this way... with an animated gif..... the animation does not work!

Suggestions?

 

Just got it to change...... didn't do anything different than I did the last 5 times I tried to change it.....

Strange.

 

If the animated image needs to be scaled (bigger than 100x100) then the animation frames will be lost. If you want to use an animated gif for an avatar (I'm not crazy about it because the files are pretty large) then make sure you upload it to your albums at avatar size.

 

The old one was probably just cached in your browser.
