Default Badges

I spent some time coming up with a badge for us Minnesota folks. Krazik told me to PM cthree when it was ready to arrange to have it added as a badge. I've PM'd both but haven't heard anything. I hate to nag, but is there something else I need to do?

Yes, please post the badge in the CO forum. Post it and I'll get it done this weekend. Please include all of the information I'll need (like what I'm supposed to do). Pretend I have no short term memory at all

Thanks.

Well, I'm finally back to looking at this. When I asked my community organizer (for Upper Midwest) about badges, he had no idea what was needed. From what I see with others (including, e.g. Chicago folks, also in the UM forum), getting a badge added shouldn't be this hard.

This is the file. Can someone tell me what I need to do to have it added as a badge for Minnesota folks?

Thanks!

Tony,

If you notice with the other badges in people's signatures you can click on them and they take you to their respective forum. What's the link to the forum you want this badge to take you to?

I'm assuming the Upper Midwest (http://forums.s2ki.com/forums/forumdisplay...p?s=&forumid=31)?

Sorry Tony, this fell through the cracks

Well there are two kinds of badges, those which are for specific s2ki communities (communities have forums) and those which are privately done, such as yours.

What I recommend is the following:

1. Create a thread in the upper midwest forum about the badge. Tell people what it's for and tell them what to put in their signatures (next)
2. In that thread tell people to include the following in their signatures:

[ url=<link to your thread> ][ img ]http://gallery.s2ki.com/imagecatalog/imageview/103958[ /img ][ /url ]

The link to your thread is what is in the address bar when you are looking at it. If you want to link to the upper midwest forum instead that's fine, just use the link to that instead.

"Official" badges are given out by Community Organizers to members by putting them on a roster. With private badges such as yours, people will need to put these in their signatures themselves.

Hope that helps.
