Can We Make All Threads Availabe To Everyone!
For some reason, some of the moved threads seem to be too good for the rest of us. I mean for some reason only the members are allowed to see these threads, atleast make it so that the guests can be able to view them too. I don't know, I'm sure that I'm the not the only one having this problem, and the admins should definately address this issue. THX
I'll make the same request of you that Hondagal did last night when you posted a similar request in the following thread:
https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=219314
Please post a link to at least one example of what you're talking about. As far as I know no threads are restricted. If a thread was removed and a link left in the forum it was removed from then it may appear as if it is restricted but other than that and the hotties forum, which is members only, there shouldn't be any issues with threads.

now hopefully that link works, i cant be sure because it doesn't let me access it. Anyways if this link doesn't work this link is on PAGE 3 OF THE "OFF TOPIC FORUM" and the title is "THE OFFICIAL RACHEL BILSON THREAD" (not the only thread that i cant access, but that it is one that i started.) And for some reason that thread is posted three times. Again i apologize for posting twice.
As I mentioned above we have a new forum called "hotties". It is restricted to members only due to it's mature nature. The thread you linked to looks like it was started on the old S2KI, probably in the off topic forum. It has since been moved to the hotties forum and unfortunately, since you're not a member, it won't be accessible to you.

Honestly I'm sorry, but this is one of the stupidest ideas I've ever heard of. To me it just sounds like the site is simply trying to give "members" more privilege simply because they are "paying" to use the site. (as far as I know there is a membership fee) (As far as that is considered, I have no argument because since they are paying members they should have some kind of advantage, but by saying it is because of the "mature" material on these Hotties threads is simply not cutting it) (And to answer that I think that the members do receive enough advantages already i.e. discounts in the marketplace, but thats just me) As far as I understand S2ki.com is still part of the internet. Considering it is part of the internet, can we just think about this for a quick second, there is SOOO much more mature material on other sites than on this site. So by simply stating that because of its mature material we are restricting it to the members is just wrong and unjustified. Out of the approximately 4 billion websites on the internet approximately 3/4 are "mature" websites, so I'm just not seeing the point of restricting that part of the web to only "members." Anyways there are restrictions to posting on this site as there is, i.e. no pornographic images and so on. So if there are no such material then why is it even considered mature material. On version 3 we did not have this problem, and I do not see what the purpose of making this restriction was. I apologize Striker if i seem to be upset at you, I'm not, but honestly "restricting" these threads to only members is just
I know admins have discussed this issue, (hopefully) and have unanimously reached this decision, but I would ask you to please reconsider this. Considering that this is a car forum, most people that do come to this site are over 16 years of age. Again considering the mass amounts of mature material on the internet, I just feel that this new part of S2ki is very... i cant seem to find the correct word. I'm sure one of your responses would be that if every website would take such precautions as to only having adults view mature material we wouldn't have a problem at all, but since this isn't and will most likely never be the case I feel that having this restriction is simply unfair.
I think your point hits the nail on the head Andre - this forum is part of the internet, and hottie material is available all over the rest of the internet. If you want it go there, if you want it here, and want to post it, pay for it
This is an S2000 site, and everything posted about S2000 is free with no need for membership

Anyways the restriction of these certain threads don't make me frustrated, but simply disappointed. Anyways most likely I wont post again on this thread, because if I was to make an impact on the decision of the admins, I would have already accomplished that thus far, but if someone asks me to respond to something, I will.
