and thank you. I have attempted to purchase a Gold Membership, but I was unable to do so because the final step of the process asked for my debit cards' "new expiration date." Yet it doesn't have a new expiration date, just the same expiration date that it has had since it was issued to me (07/08).

Hmm that would be paypal asking for that. Check you put the month and year in the correct way round

Done! And should this effect others in the future, I did in fact input the expiration date - "07/08" - in the correct sequence, it simply would not accept it until I had repeated said process numerous times.
