Thanks a ton for the crisp new start page. It is a real pleasure to be able to log in right from the get-go on the first page. I'm sure you're still working on all the "gripes and grumbles" from folks, but I for one appreciate the changes thus far. Kudos to the administrators.

It's just a start. The aim of the Home section is to offer a chance for people to find information quickly, get a concise answer to their questions and, perhaps most importantly, to read about things they may not otherwise learn about. We will try to feature the "best of the best" from the community so you don't necessarily need to read 100 forums to get the latest scoop on what's going on. We track the most interesting and noteworthy items for you and present it in one continually updated place.

There will of course be a huge volume of useful and helpful info pulled from the forums and condensed so you don't need to read 12 pages of posts to find out how it ends.

There is much more in store but it will take a bit longer to get it all running. I hope people enjoy using the Home section as much as I enjoy putting it together. If you know of a story or a hidden away nugget in the forums you think should be more visible please drop me a line so I can include it.

Well, KaiWang's ball shaving thread in off-topic comes to mind. Very helpful info in there... Guaranteed to get a few new members to the forum.

 

Oh, and I agree, the new Home page looks great!
