Ya, I picked up my 2000 late August 1999 on the day of release. Each dealer in this area got 2 which were delivered to our doc's from Japan (so our dealers got them well before the rest of the country headed East which we had confirmed was happening on that old site). I had been on a waiting list for over 6 months (with $500 down) and the dealer confirmed that one of the first 2 was mine. The S2000's came in and they told me they were giving it to someone else. I called up every dealer in the area and they claimed theirs were taken (but not picked up). I finally got one who said "we have 2 in, don't have no list or nothing". Went down there and bought it within 30 minutes at $5K over MSRP. It was worth paying every dime over msrp for the crazy public mania that followed me driving that car for the first year alone.
