This is retarded...some of the other vendors are creating whole new threads of the same products.

Perhaps limit the number of group buy threads allowed per vendor. Some vendors are just flooding the GB forums with garbage to be at the top. Multiple threads for the same thing. . . They might as well just link to their personal store/webpage and do without the whole group buy thing all together as it seems everything they sell is at "group buy" prices.

Considering the price of advertising, I think if vendors were limited on their posts they wouldn't stay vendors.

Wouldn't limit posts but rather the number of threads at one time. Do venders really need 20 or 30 threads to make sponsorship affordable?

Perhaps just one thread per vendor in which they can list everything they have on special. I don't think it should be that extreme but how about a max of 10 threads per vendor at a time? Close one and open another if something new needs to be sold.

Maybe charge vendors a price per thread in the group buy section rather than a flat rate? I don't know if all vendors pay the same fees, but this would make it fair.

Just throwing ideas out there.

I also find it stupid that you have to PM a sponsor to receive a price on something. All prices should be clearly stated in the thread.

That's not the vendors to blame. If you are caught publicly advertising prices that are lower than the manufacturers limit you will be dropped and unable to sell their items anymore.

Yes but how do you know that you are getting the same price as everyone else?

So you would want the vendors to lose the permission and ability to sell a certain manufacturers item all together instead?

Also it's the right of the seller to sell for whatever price he/she may want to. They can do favors and they might not just as they can refuse to sell to someone all together. I always offer the same pricing for everyone but that's just me.

I agree with you, and I agree with Kane. It is just a fact of bussiness. Some items can not be avertised for less then X. Or the vendor will lose the manufature.

On the other hand, you sure don't need to create 50 threads to avertise every item you sell. Put up a web site.

The bottom line is for a customer to vote with the $$ as to what they want. If you see a vendor out of line TELL THEM! Your $ talks and the rest walks.
