Any help would be appreciated. thanks
AOL sometimes likes to hijack a system and won't let you use the external browser.
Uninstall AOL, and reinstall it. If I can find any more advice I will. I'm a HOST GUIDE and forum moderator on AOL, so I have a few resources I can check.

hey guys - I've done some poking around and this is the closest thread to my problem.....
I usually cannot connect (resolve) s2ki.com from home on my dsl. It is the only website I can find that does this. Every other website I try is fine. ricks2k.com also doesn't work when s2ki.com doesn't work. I've tried everything (clearing cookies and cache, setting up my proxies, blah, blah,) to no avail. Sometime it works and sometimes not. But I can always get it at work, maybe 50% of the time at home. If I use my dial-up at home I can connect no problem. The fact that it's both s2ki.com and ricks2k.com makes me think something with my dsl doesn't like something you guys have setup (they are served out together, yes?). I have earthlink DSL and have been extremely happy with both my service and speed, but I can't get the single most important web site.
If you guys wouldn't mind giving this a moment of thought I'd really appreciate it, because I don't want to go through the hassle of a new DSL provider, but If I can't get s2ki.com, then I'm doomed. Maybe there is something I'm missing.... thanks!

wicky is this a constant or intermittent problem? There has been quite a bit of upheaval the past few months, new servers, replaced servers, ISP and IP address changes. Who is your ISP?
Hey cthree - thanks for responding.
It is intermittent, but I would say on the order of 60-70% in favor of no connection. It has been only the last couple (two?) months its been happening. I'd say a couple weeks before the big downtime in late January. Example: I could connect last thursday. Then no friday, no saturday, no sunday (morning) then in the afternoon *poof* - here I am. I can't seem to find anything imperically that affects it. (meaning I have yet to jiggle a wire and go "ah-ha!") I really have no idea what's contributing and I keep hoping like you say that it's due to the fiddling you guys have been doing.
I have earthlink DSL, I connect through Mindspring.com. I believe they are using Covad in my area.
thanks again.
