As of late, there seems to be more and more outside vendors post adverising threads in this site.

While I think it is perfectly reasonable and rightful that Cthree forbid them, in the interest of our sponsors and a spam-free site, I also regret some of the good deals we might have passed up because of it.
Case in point, the Apex V-AFC for $290 is an excellent deal (http://www.s2000online.com/forums/showthre...p?threadid=6370) and I personally would've bought from this vendor if I hadn't ordered one from my local tuner already.

Our current sponsors support this site and I am grateful for that. I completely agree that outside vendors should not be allowed to freely advertise in here...it is simply not fair to our sponsors who help pay to maintain this site. Furthermore, I do not wish this site be congested by these ads.

With these conflicting interests on hand, I like to suggest an outside vendor forum where they can post/ads deals on a per thread fee basis. These are benefits:
1) increase fund for the site
2) maintain fairness to our current sponsors (although that also means more competition)
3) these ads centralized in one place and won't congest other topic forums
4) we won't miss those deals

What do you think?

That's a good idea but the fee has to be worked out closely otherwise it would not be fair to our sponsors either because what would prevent our sponsors from pulling their monthly sponsorship contribution to save some $$$ and they can still just pay a fee for very commercial ad they post since now they have already branded their products. Anyway, just a random thought. So it is a C3 thing...

Did you email cthree at cthree@s2000online.com? He is the boss around here. I also got your email saying that you sent an email to the site admin. You might want to follow-up with cthree.
