Because it would take up extra space to keep posting someone's sig. This helps keep the thread page shorter.

 

I need this help, too. I asked earlier about this and the avatar, and the person said I needed software to compress the jpeg. Does everyone have this or what? Also do I have to have a web site in order to post pictures?? I keep reading this, but am really lost.
