Hi all, a post from a user over here in the UK

Just really echoing what PWE896 has already said - we have serious speed issues with getting around the site. At first I thought it was my own net connection, but I am having no problems whatsoever with any other website / forum - either side of the Atlantic!

As far as the site is concerned, I think it's quite a huge change. It'll take a lot of getting used to, and there is probably some room for improvement (grey space at the side, better use of colours etc.), but for people to say they 'hate' it is possibly a bit harsh...

 

The horizontal scrolling is a bug that I will fix asap. It should have horizontal scroll bars if your screen is too narrow.

 

#1. I would like my avatar in each post. Sig is fine in the first only.

#2. What's with all the grey??? The previous color scheme was lively and welcoming. This is just depressing. Especially since the weather sucks and I can't drive my car. You are NOT helping my seasonal affective disorder

#3. Lots of wasted space and not as friendly to navigate. One of my most used buttons was the "Today's Active Threads" Took me forever to find on this new layout and it is too tiny for newcomers to understand.

#4. Where are the lightbulbs indicating people are on line???

Sorry, but you guys really missed the mark. I mean BIG time!!! I will refrain from passing out my S2000 calling cards until things are resloved. I love this site and hope we can all come to a mutually satisfying agreement on how the site is presented.

I don't like the search/adv bar on the left, too much wasted space.
I agree that the avatars should be next to each post.
Don't care about the post count stuff except that post count is informational if you can weed out the whores.

*edit* It is rather slow at the moment, it takes a while to pull up a thread to read and this post took about 2 or 3 minutes from the time I clicked til it finally accepted it.

 

Help! I have taken the S2K out for many test drives and am definitely addicted. Living in SW Florida is NOT the greatest spot in the USA to find dealers that will go MSRP and so I continue to shop around ( mostly with east coast dealers ). Almost got an '02 spa yellow but it got sold out from me because I waited 2 hours too long to decide...honest!

I rely heavily on the list of dealers participating in the MSRP that the old site had. Does anyone know where it went on the new site??? Thanks from an S2K wannabe.

 

How do you tell who else is on line now? Where is the list of members on line which used to be at the bottom of the Forums page. I know it's early days but this place has lost a lot of it's sense of community in one fell swoop! There was little wrong with the old site IMHO. I really really don't like it! ..... Dull and characterless!
