the icons relating to a user: profile,pm,email,search,buddy,ignore. Maybe there can be a dropdown menu for those? That would allow more uniform formatting since sometimes width of the table for the post is extended to fit all those icons. Then we could also return to listing each IM medium separately in the dropdown menu instead of one button for all of them.

not everyone runs the board at full res all the time though. I noticed this when i'm on my laptop (max 1024x768) and I want to multitask...if i reduce window width too much then i do a lot of scrolling...doing this would allow the width to be reduced significantly more without horizontal scrolling problems.
