Default My posts now show "Edited by"

My membership expired yesterday and I noticed when I edited a post that there is a box underneath that now reads "Edited by Feezy". I figured that one I had a membership again it would go away.

This morning I was promoted to the local Community Organizer position, and it looks like that position basically comes with the equivalent of a membership, however my posts still show "Edited by Feezy".

There used to be a box that asked whether I wanted to show that line or not, but I no longer see it. Does anyone know how or why? My typing is terrible and damn near every one of my posts needs some sort of grammatical correction. >_<

Ah, I figured it was a CO thing to document what you change publicly. Looks like it's time to learn to type properly.

Hmm, is this something new, i.e. going forward? I didn't think it was supposed to be like that. I do recall having the "Show 'Edit by' line" checkbox option before (when I was just a CO, before I was assigned moderator status).

I have wondered about that too. Were too many CO's misusing their powers of "edit" to edit member posts

It could very well be an IB thing with how they have permissions set up for different groups of users.

I don't believe it was this way when I was a CO, could be since the new forum software change a few years back.
