The fact that all the ones on this forum aside from members and guests don't have that rating for their posts speaks volumes. "Jus sayin..."

I think it would be great to know who has given you rep. I'd like to know why I'm getting voted down.

I would also love to know. Would stop people from giving negative rep just to be a douche. While I do have good reputation(+70 something), I do get some random neg reps that people wouldn't give if they weren't anonymous most likely. If it was shown who gave what rep it would make the system MUCH more credible and useful.
Would be really great if it was that way and showed next to your name when you post your reputation. I have seen that on other forums and gives you a good idea who knows what they are talking about when they post.

Would have given your post a thumbs up directly, but apparently there's a daily cap on it. But at least in this case, I'm not anonymous.

I don't see any problem with the rep system.

With all due respect this isn't just aimed at you moddiction; but how many times does cthree have to state

REPUTATION ISN'T MEANT TO BE CREDIBLE OR USEFUL

It is simply; do people like you/the way you post. End of story. This is not a sellers tool, or a buyers tool. It's a charisma meter. End of story. I don't see why this concept of rep really meaning NOTHING is so hard for people to wrap their head around.

Hmmm - apparently the "daily" cap is more than a day - the plot thickens

Just playing devil's advocate here...

If you were going to buy something from a member of s2ki that was a large sum of money and they had a -100 reputation or worse, would you be
sending that person the aforementioned large some of money? I know I would think twice.

yes.........political/car/whatever opinions ≠ bad seller. i can't see there being TOO many cases of it, but it's definitely possible.
