That's what software and programming is for, to make things easier.

HELLO IB!!!! It's 2014!!!!

This isn't the only automotive board they own is it? How do they handle the others? Or don't they care like S2KI does?

We don't randomly delete FS posts. The only time it gets deleted is when we are ignored after making a request.

We are locking threads as that gets the OP's attention much quicker.
Well thats exactly what was done in my case.
Ah. My apologies then. That should only happen if we've asked for the OP to be updated and it isn't.

I was never asked and Mongo said he didn't have time to "babysit".

Maybe for fun I'll start bumping 6 year old FS posts, you know, just for fun and to keep Sam and Manga busy....
You mean before Manga got his drivers license? I like that idea
That won't end well for either of you

Believe it or not, we're trying to make this easier for everyone, not make more work for us. Shocking, I know.

Curious how this is easier for everyone? Five yrs ago I didn't have any issues posting items for sale or finding items that I was looking for.
[/quote]

Because 5 years ago people weren't being lazy and posting Craigslist like ads or posting from their phones. Like "yo, I'm selling wheels, text me for pics n price - eight 6 7 five 3 0 nine" crap.

Easier meaning the same throughout this forum, Cali has had the same rules/template as what we've just introduced for years. We've adopted their template to streamline all the FS subforums.

So it took me almost 30mins to create my post, including uploading pics. I included my location, prices, pictures, and descriptions. I still have no idea why it was taken down. It's total BS. I'll just have to turn elsewhere for posting it as it's not worth my time to try again. This will be the last paid membership I do.

It's not the only board they run, but it's one of the only boards that runs on the old software that cthree upgraded us to a few years back. You have been around long enough to remember how that transition went right? If you don't, let me refresh your memory.

It didn't go well.

IB has looked at moving to another bb layout but it's not tops on their list. Personally, I have my opinions about that but this isn't the place for me to throw my $.02 about it. Having said that, when the time comes to update the site, I'll be looking for you to be one of the testers. You are on my short list of people who do nothing but bitch all day long about the site so your input will be requested.

On to the other topic at hand...

josserman: We will follow-up with Manga_Spawn in regards to your thread. Btw, five years ago, we didn't have scammers and bad transactions at the rate we do these days. My inbox blows up daily unfortunately.

I appreciate your apology, but honestly to make up for it I'd request you either undelete my post and send it to me with whatever specifics are required to ensure compliance with your rules. If not, then refund my membership or at least extend it another year. I'm curious what the requirements are to be a moderator. I'd suggest a minimum age requirement with a certain level of professional experience if a moderator has such rights as to permanently delete threads.

Mistakes happen and feedback was given. I've worked with plenty of mature 21 year olds and I've worked with immature 40 year olds so discriminating based on age would be a bigger violation of "compliance". It was a mistake.

I bitch because I care, but really, "all day long"?

This is my only social media and I use this to get through slow times at work.

I've been here long enough to remember that I too used to be a Mod.
