Default Organizing the FS forum...

What would you guys think of the idea of sub categories for the for sale forum....

Such as this:

For Sale
MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED to sell. Commercial posts will be removed.

Sub-Forums:
Complete Cars, Parting Out, Exterior, Interior, Wheels and Tires, Suspension and Braking, Performance, Mobile Electronics (I.C.E.) and Lighting, Miscellaneous S2000 Parts, Miscellaneous

Forum Led by: moyopoyo, KrazyKarim, S2000GT

And you can just click the link to what you are looking for and it will take you to just the stuff you're interested in... No more scrolling around trying to find rims or speakers in the same section...

Just my opinion,
Nick

It is a bad idea. I really don't need to look in 5 forums to see what is FS. Heck the amount of posts in the current FS forum is less then a page a day.

Why can't the seller post a proper title? That would fix everything. Making more forums just means more work for the a Mods. They are overworked as it is.

Thanks but no thanks.

I'm sorry you didn't like it but you don't need to be rude. you're right, they do need to title it better but seriously your response was a little outta context. We're supposed to make suggestions in here and I did and you wrote that? Maybe I mis-read it and you weren't actually trying to be rude but that's how I precieved it. I guess because normally when I say thanks but no thanks it IS intended to be rude. sooo.... oh well.

OK, here's a suggestion: Please reduce the size of your signature. Thanks.

S2K:-)

My post was not intended to be rude. It was just that I disagreed with the idea and posted it. Nothing more. You read that into my post.

Thanks

The plan is to have the poster choose a category and other info and then to use filters to screen out the ads you don't want to see. You can choose everything or just subsets. For example you could filter on electronics to see all electronics or electronic within 50 miles of your zip code to see only local electronics ads.

This way you can narrow things down without requiring people to navigate a tree. I hope to get back on and finish this project soon. I've got it mostly done but I had to put it aside to take care of some higher priority projects.
