ive always wondered this.....how come sometimes the pic in my sig doesnt show up, but other times it does. Is that something to do with the site?? Or with my pic??

 

It has to do with Yahoo. Try using another image host.

 

Host it in your s2ki album and it will show all the time

 

I've uploaded images and all I get are duds "X"

The avatars are touchy too.. What gives ?

 

When you say you uploaded images and get x's, can I clarify?

You upload to the album - does it show ok IN the album?

When you put that image into a post or sig, how are you inserting the image?

ref your other comment, some times some firewall software will screw things up on people's machines, the other thing is with hotlinking, if they are linked from another site -sometimes that site gets bashed serving the images, and for some they wont show, it really depends on where the images people are posting are hosted.

 

AquilaEagle, I can see my pics in my album, but when I try to put one as a signature, nothing, red X. I switched over firewall and see most pics on this site well. But sig not working. Avatars are working well now.

 

uppity, give me the url to the pic you are trying to put in your sig.

I think what you're doing is putting the url to the page the pic is displayed on, rather than the url of the pic itself. To be sure, keep clicking on the pic until it is show by itself on a blank page - then use the URL displayed in the address bar to put it in your sig in [img] tags

Thanks for you help. I tried to e-mail the picture to you, but to no avail. It was returned?? Why, I don't know. I do not have aol im, or any im for that matter. This has become far too complicated to continue. I give up. Thanks for your patience.
