almost everytime I try to search something on this board, I get a message that comes back and says it didn't find any results and at the top it says "this menu has been disabled" I have read the "how to search thread" and I am doing it correctly. For example, I get the above message if I try to search for posts from my own user name. Also if I click someone's profile and select "view this persons posts" I get the error message. I would love to purchase a membership on the board, but without an excellent search tool, the board is not nearly as useful to me. I dunno, maybe it's just this BBS software.

The "search" hasn't been working properly for some time now. I assume that site admin are aware of the problem and that some sort of fix is planned?

Also, I just noticed that on my last couple of posts I showed up as "Guest" instead of my correct status of Gold Member. The Gallery is not working at the moment either. I guess the site has some major work underway to fix some of these problems.

Just be patient.

 

^^^ I'm guessing your membership expired, probably some time in the last 15 days ( S2KI Age: 4 yrs 15 days).

 

VoIPA, Thanks for that. That was indeed the problem. I'm a bit bemused as to why I didn't get a reminder

 

bemuse no more! You didn't get one because the membership software doesn't send one. At least it only bugs you once a year, for me it's a daily, perhaps even hourly pain in the ass

Good news is I wrote my own and it should be up and running in a bit. The gallery has had me turn away from it temporarily.
