I'd like to make a comment about the search feature here. It's true that just about every subject on the S2000 would problably be found in the search feature. As more and more members are coming aboard each day, new threads are created and published on the boards for members seeking opinions. While alot of members do do the search function, others do not in an attempt to converse with the membership about their problem(s) or question(s) and to get fresh opinions. A lot of times these people are scorned and insulted by other members telling them to use the 'search function.' All I'm saying is that if any old member wants to educate a new member about the search function, that's fine...just don't be rude about it. This is been bothering me for a long time, so I just had to say my piece. Thanks for reading. -Ken

You're right, Hi Speedr. Some people can get rude about telling people to use the search function. I try to be relatively polite (without sarcasm) when I make this suggestion, but if you look at if from their perspective, you can understand why some are less than polite.

Some questions are asked over and over again. I've seen the same question asked a couple of days apart. To some of us, that's like saying "my time is valuable, and yours is not". I agree that bringing a topic to the top of the page brings previous knowledge to newbies, but at some point there is overkill. I'm sure that some of us look at repeat posters as lazy, and figure a good dose of sarcasm will cure them of it. Rudeness begets rudeness.

Personally, I think some of us use a little more sarcasm than necessary, but I definitely believe that the search function needs to be pointed out to some people. And to some extent, you should expect a little ribbing, since the personalities of S2000 owners are probably more aggressive than, say, minivan owners.
