Should I renew or not?
So awhile ago I had a deal go sour with a member on here for something I was selling. I got banned from classifieds as a result of that, but I thought nothing of it since I had sold the s2k and had no more s2k-related items to sell. But now that I'm an S owner again and my membership has expired, I'd like to request the restriction be lifted.
What had happened was stubborn on my part, but not completely senseless. I forgot the other user's handle but his name's Rich from NJ with an Amuse style yellow S2k. He sent me 75$ for a used OEM AP1 ballast. I provided pictures of the ballast as well as a light-output picture to prove it was functional. The following day Rich sent payment and in essence asked for a guarantee/warranty via text message. I explained that I can't do that since I'm not a shop/business and that everything I've sold is as-is with no warranty. This was unacceptable to him and he began getting real short with me, I didn't appreciate that so I told him if he's going to be a dick, he can wait 10 days for paypal to automatically refund him through my account. I still have a picture as a sample of the text messages he sent me with some racial slurs, and downright offensive material on it. I quote:
He made a thread on here and before I could cool off a bit and explain my side of the story, I was banned from classifieds which restricted my replies in the feedback section. In the heat of the moment I thought nothing of it since at the time I had no intentions of getting another S2000, so I figured I would have nothing to sell on S2ki. Well, here I am again with my 3rd S2k from SupaStar, so I'm respectfully asking for classifieds privileges back.
Overall I've had no other problems with transactions on S2ki and I think this forum's great in many ways, but if I'm to be restricted from classifieds and have less privileges than a Guest, then why should I contribute more than a guest, right? I know what I did was far from good business etiquette, but at the same time I don't believe that I was the only one to blame. So, I'm here asking for a second chance to lift the restriction. If it's too much to consider, I'll gladly continue trolling as a Guest.
Regards,
Silas
