I guess I should let you guys and gals know that at 3:25 AM PST (-8) we rotate the web server logs and restart the server. That means you might hit a few minutes of "dead air" during restart. 3AM is the lowest traffic time so it makes sense to do it then. If you hit this dead air, just wait a minute or two and it should be right back to normal.

Can you not just configure your web server to rotate the logs daily (or whenever) automatically ?
