With only a link to this site open and no activity on my part, Peerblock has blocked around 80 connections to the same IP addresses Fester has listed above in one minute.

I don't pretend to understand it, but it surely can't be good. Particularly as the site was steadily getting worse before i installed peerblock. Instant, dramatic improvement since it was installed.

Edit: An hour after this post i cleared my cache and disabled Peerblock. Site remained fast. As time progresses, its gradually starting to slow down again.
It is a little slower during the day - always found that but evenings / weekends are fine. Have you had any complete errors where it has failed to load?

I find the site almost useless. Pretty much EVERY click needs at least a second click of the link or a refresh to display.

EDIT - I even had to click "Add Reply" twice to submit this message FFS

Not today. Prior to that many times every day.

All i can suggest is leaving Peerblock running - it doesn't do anything that you'd not want it to do. On top of that i'd still suggest a spyware cleaner such as malwarebytes or spybot search and destroy is worth running once or twice a month, especially if you do internet banking from your machine.

the same thought just dawned on me. Certainly seems as if the issues are affecting the UK folks the most.

I am not aware of Vitalstream being a partner of ours, but I am waiting for someone to confirm that for me. I will update when I have more info.

But we're English, we moan professionally

I have tried this on a variety of machines, some of which i don't use for web normally and all exhibit the same behaviour until i block adverts / unwanted IP connections and then it's fine again and it's only on S2ki Happy to provide more data if you need it .

Posts from UK members may be the most in number. I still experience crippling slowness, more so in the evenings/night. I don't know what other info I can provide that hasn't been provided already.

uncle, could you provide me with a pathping report run from the cmd prompt? Just like to compare it to ones I've already got on record. If I have other specific queries, I'll certainly reach out. Appreciate your feedback.

*mutters*

Won't work at work - firewall gets in the way, will run it from home later and pop the results back on here

I presume you just want a straight pathping www.s2ki.com running and recording to txt file?
