I have a few mobile devices. I have found that lately the skin for my mobile device is now connected to my user ID instead of my session. In short, on my computer and iPad I use the normal S2ki skin, but on my iPhone I use the mobile skin. What I am seeing is that depending on the last device I use to access the site, the skin changes.

I.E. I never use the mobile skin on my PC, but today when I connected there is was the mobile skin.

So something has changed. Can we change it back?

 

It's been like this since the big upgrade, I stopped using the mobile skin because of this issue

 

Could it be a iOS problem? I use the mobile version on my Android phone (when I'm not using Tapatalk) and the full version on the PC. It switches to the appropriate version for me, although I have seen the mobile skin on the PC one time a long time ago, but I think that may have been something that I did inadvertently.

 

Nothing has changed. Skin choice is a saved profile setting. I don't think there is an option to make it session based. It is a consequence of having a choice. In the previous system there was no skin choice so you didn't have to worry about which skin was saved to your profile. To recover the old way is easy: don't use the mobile skin.

 

It funny I have not seen this behavior until now. The full site is great on a PC and iPad but on an iPhone is it harder to navigate. Hmm time
For some testing

 

I use both, and on my iPhone I always see the mobile site, unless I change, whilst on my PCs I see the regular site. Only once has the mobile site appeared on my PC - usually it is the same.

 

Seams to be back to normal. iPhone sees the mobile site and the iPad and desktop see the full site. No more flipping of site skins. Why, I don't know.
