Just want to call your attention to something strange. Sometimes when displaying a thread, the page would stop at the "< Next Oldest | <forum> | Next Newest >" section and not display anything more below it. The "ADD REPLY"/"NEW TOPIC" ... buttons and the "Fast Reply" area are not displayed. If I click on the same thread again, sometimes it would display the whole page normally.

I think this is one of those "depending on which server" issue again. Good luck tracking this down.

Whites there is a setting in your Board Settings, under MyS2K which says always show it. Make sure that is checked.

Let us know which forum this happens in - and if it happens in more than one.

Also at the bottom it says which server served the page - let us know what it says if it doesnt display.

I've not been able to replicate this problem

Hmmm... Doesn't seem to happen anymore. Maybe it fixed itself.

When it did happen, it would happen on the same thread without me changing anything in my profile. And it happened in all forums when it was mis-behaving. But because nothing is displayed after the "< Next Oldest | <forum> | Next Newest >" line, there was no way to tell what server "served" up that page.

Looks like things are cool right now. Thanks for looking into it.

It's a performance thing. I noticed it and thought something was up, but wait a few more seconds and it pops up. Seems to be some sort of cut off at the last post that stops the page loading - the rest ofthe page loads after something else you can't see.

This happens when someone loads a 10MB animated picture into their signature. Yeah that hot chic shaking her bootie is cute but people would rather not wait 20 seconds for it to load thanks.

Sorry, but not likely. I turn off the display of signatures. And I have a fast connection, so a few more giga bites should not make any difference. But as I said, things are good right now, so no need to waste any more energy looking at this. Thanks everyone.

Heh, I'm on an 8 meg connection mate - it happens to me too. Waiting about 30 seconds and it appears. As you say though, it's not always sigs. There's something about that part of the page that seems to be a cut off if there's ANY reason for a sudden halt or slowdown in page delivery.

It's rare though and totally liveable with (if that's a word ). Nature of the internet and all that.
