wouldnt it seem that if 2 people out of the thousands on this site complain about something, that the person they decide to complain about get a chance to defend, change, explain, etc. rather that the mods just ousting the material. Seems to me that they decide it for themselves after a compliant is logged rather than going the due process route.

its pretty sad that the intelligent many are sometimes ruled by the retarded few, and you can quote me on that to anyone higher up in the chain

Uh...

Reading > you.

That is a joke thread. You should READ the thread before going off like that.
And check the DATE. Sep 06? A flame thread would never have lasted that long.

I do think we should have elections to vote in CO's every year.

That's how we do it in the IE forum. both our CO's were elected in. Works well. But we can't vote on EVERYTHING. Just vote in someone you feel will make the decisions the way you would like.

I vote for SO CAL C.O. ELECTIONS!

Its not the fact of reading its the FACT that stuff like this still goes on, i dont care if it was from 2001 or yesterday, problems still exist and people should vent there likes and dislikes and the CO/ Moderator if they gave 2 licks about S2ki should listen.

I love it when people say, for instance about America, "if you don't like move to another county". **** that. I like America and if there's something wrong with it, I would rather fix it then move away. Same with this site. Vote with your feet is a nice sentiment but in reality it doesn't often work as a motivator of change.

I'm not exactly clear on what the OP did wrong. It sounds like he was posting stuff for sale without being a member? But he is a member so I don't know how that works. What I don't like at all is when non-offensive speech is censored, which seems to happen often enough to be a concern of mine. The majority of people frequent this forum because its a place to communicate, not because it serves some compelling business need. Just keep that in mind when setting policy.

... You kinda still ignored the main point though--that THREAD IS A JOKE.
Have you read it? Completely aside from all this talk about moderators and stuff,
take a look at it--you will LOL.

Yeah, s2ki has some wacky policies, and on the few occasions when I've tried to
question it, or post suggestions on how to better the site, I've been pretty much
ignored. So, now, I mostly (mostly) just go "whatever". I pay my membership,
and post TONS of photos. If it gets too annoying, I can always opt to not
renew.

In yesterday's situation though, I believe the moderators were in the right--a
regular member tried to post advertisements. If I were a paying vendor, I
would demand the post be removed.

BTW, people "venting" is usually one of these least affective ways of effecting
change--just stirs up strife and flame. Personally, I think there should be a
thread where people can discuss possible changes, without vitriol.

least effective ways of effecting change

And thanks now I get the issue... but was it for a one-off item?
