Ludedude is part of the s2ki team. All decisions are discussed and hashed out. This is not to punish anyone rather it is a business decision. Tire Rack and Inline Pro are different and their positions on the forums are different. There are people who had advance knowledge of this change. On the other side, I actually thought an appearance forum would be fun. Other forums do it. Lighting is also another forum other sites seems to be adding to their appearance forum.

I hope we can combine amalgamate various like forums. One of my ideas was to bring together some OT forums and create one forum which would allow home and garden, sports, games, etc together. Forsale is an issue which I feel we need to work through. The site will go through some structure changes in the future. We need to make this work.

Wow, I'm sorry you guys took my message the wrong way. I didn't intend any slight or to cause discomfort. I was merely trying to convey that there are things happening on the site that not everyone is privy to and that we need the ability to configure things the way they make the most sense in the grand scheme of running the site.

No one is being singled out, no sponsor is being punished, no forum is being devalued in the eyes of the site owners. These changes, and other forthcoming ones, are all decisions made as part of our ongoing business.

Hopefully you guys can see that I wasn't trying to be malicious and I'm sorry if it came off that way. I guess I have a lot on my plate and was just trying to get the word out simply and without extra pieces of flair.

It does make sense if you are trying to sort out the forums, make less of a mess on the front page, but I would say to do that you should instead move all the local communities into one category named Your Local s2000 Communities, or something like that. Wash and Wax does not get much traffic like s2000 talk or car talk, so if we are shoved into a group it decreases our traffic tremendously due to it being not the most popular forum ever. People usually arrive there when they find something wrong with their paint, like weird white spots for example, which creates a small amount of people looking for our wash and wax forum, and if it isn't obvious, none will be the wiser to its existence.

Since wash and wax appears to cover all äppearance"" topics, then make the new appearance forum the best forum. wanabe and slanguage will lead this forum as a whole. They will need your support.

No where was there disrespect for the wash and wax members, nothing negative was said about those members.

Business decisions are not always going to make everyone feel good. There are consequences with business comes in to play. It is best to stay out of transactions. The poll is not going to do any good. If it helps you vent your frustration then that is what you need.

Everyone needs to try and get used to the new format.

We need a description as well, which will help direct traffic. Who wants to help with this.

 

That seems like a good idea, probably make a thread on W&W asking for a description or whatever.
To add to your idea, one of the main reason our forum is invisible, is because our badge is missing on the forum directory

I think it will help fix the situation when that is readded, and a description hinting at the other forums being there as well will help direct people there, I do not know if they have badges for the other forums though.
Edit: It seems the only other forum in need of a hint is the S2000 Body and Paint section since that and W&W seem to be the main two in that group.

 

Not frustration. But if it's the decision the admins make.. albeit a poor one based on the communities votes.. I guess it's what's best for you then
