Is this some revenue enhancing thing for s2ki?

I also thought I had some kind of spyware dumped on my computer.

Is there some way to get rid of this? Is this an intentional thing?

you can hide the bar on the bottom right.........like a triangle symbol

You can hide it but it's still "there"

it slows the whole thing down ... plus you hide it and it reapears everytime you enter a new subforum ...

chrome and safari seem to be running significantly faster than IE8 for me, just in case you guys have either browser installed also not getting the bar back in a new subforum even in IE just trying to help while this (temporary) chat is up
