Thumbs up theoretical improvement with reduced final drive?

when you change your final drive to a 4.56 which is approximately an 11% drop how much will your time to a given speed change by?

11%?

Surely not...

Obviously the time to change gears more often will not help.

For example 100mph is 4th regardless of whether you have standard or 4.56 final drive so how much faster would you expect to get there?

11% faster would be a massive difference... 14.7 ish to 13 ish...

???

I assume that you mean correct it isn't that simple

Anyone care to hazard a guess at the 0-100 time over standard?

drops as in takes less time, or drops as in your performance reduces (& time increases) ? I'm guessing the former ?

As i say in perfect conditions and if your a suberb driver a stock s is bang on 14secs, with gears and other mods "I" had, i was getting 13.2 -13.4 IIRC

do the performance increases, BTW you can hit 60 with a gear change, JUST!

not sure what you mean, that you can hit 60 with a 4.56 final drive?

I don't think that is possible... The speedo may read 60 but you will hit the red line before you are doing an actual 60mph.
