Default ABS comes on after lower the car

Hi there, I have a Integra Type-R, few days ago I fitted a new set of suspension, took it for a test run, I can felt the ABS came on, can any body tells me what's wrong wiyh it, please? I took my car to the track , before I fitted this suspension, for a few times, the ABS never came on. But now under normal driving specially truning, it comes on.

The only thing I can think of is that your car was not lowered evenly on all four sides. You may have one wheel that was lowered more than the others. Therefore, that wheel does not have good contact/traction and locks up under braking envoking abs. If you installed adjustable coilovers you will want to have the car corner weighted to correct.

Hi whtdc2 . You may want to check if your car has a brake proportioning valve connected to the rear suspension . The valve is used to increase rear brake pressure when the rear is loaded . Usualy is attached to the lower arm of the rear L or R weel . What happens when you lower the car is that the valve sensing comression at the rear and is reacting (as if you loaded your trunk) by increasing rear brake pressures. Your rear isn't actually loaded though so the weels tend to lock due to increased braking and thus activating the ABS . If that's your case you should modify the linkage of the valve so the input shaft is on the same position it was with the car on stock height .
Another case ( only if you lowered too much ) would be that by changing the lower wisbone angle (droping the car ) you have caused scrub during compression (front ) or rebound (rear) . Check your F and R tracking by lifting and pushing the car to ground and see if it changes drastically . Wish you good luck!

Sorry to bring bad news, but you tore a wire on one of your ABS sensors. This is a pretty common mistake. You have to be careful when you work on suspensions that you don't pull on the abs sensor wires, or this will happen.

I thought I read a post a long time ago about the European spec cars having a link on the rear suspension as stated above, for rear unload proportioning. I think they were talking about adjusting it for the new height.
