I just have a really quick question and the faster responses I get the better. My '01 had a new top put on 2 months ago and due to the weather the rear vinyl window cracked. They don't really offer any kind of warranty for it and have offered to give me one at half price at the shop that installed it. However, the guy that owns the shop said he has a top in stock that has rear glass with defrost. So my question is this, since I have an 01 with no rear defrost button on the dash, how hard is it to make all that happen??? Any info is greatly appreciated.

 

People have done this before on their 2000 - 2001 S2000. So, yes you can.
It comes down to how much someone wants to charge you to do the install.

You need something like the switch & fuse relay. But supposively there is an existing port to plug it in on the 00-01

My MY00 has a glass and defroster upgrade. But the defroster isn't hooked up. I got my s2k with it already installed

The defroster shouldn't be difficult to wire up. Just make sure you use a relay and a switch that's rated for the correct amount of current.
