It is unpainted, it comes primed from honda new.

when going from an ap1 bumper to an ap2, does anything else need to be changed? headlights, hood?

headlights and hood will work the same as ap1, the hoods are the same and the headlights maintain the same shape, I've heard of people trimming bumper reinforcement or bending it a little otherwise it may cause "nipples" on your bumper, the undertrays are different too but with creativity you can still utilize the ap1 trays.

If you want it to be exactly like oem you can buy an ap2 bumper reinforcement and the ap2 undertrays but it is not a requirement for the bumper to work on the car

Freakin love this setup. I have one on my AP1. You will need to trim down bumper reinforcement or else it won't fit. Beside that mod, it will work perfectly.
