1 g? everyone has a different answer for this 1g,2g, 10gs. Last I heard there is no specific ticket for no catalytic converter (s). Just a ticket for Modified Emmisions, the same ticket you get for an intake. So basically unless the cop impounds your car the only way to get caught is to drive it to the ref with no cat. That being said I know some departments are becoming more trained in spotting modified vehicles so I would imagine they would impound the car if they found out you werent running cats. However, ive never heard this happen to anyone on s2ki or my350z.

I've been caught with no exhaust running off header and test pipe in my civic back in my drag racing days. No cat ticket just exhaust mod ticket.

 

but the ticket is no longer a $10 fix it ticket it's a $286 fine
