currently going through a motor swap, so if you need or want an f20c let me know. don't have a asking price yet, so if there is specific parts you need just shoot me a reasonable offer.
buy whole and pick up, or buy specific parts.
History of motor: 2003
current mileage 82,078
2nd owner, purchased vehicle with 19,500 miles.
**disclaimer and important stuff to know**
the reason why i am selling the motor is because it is cheaper then repairing #4 cylinder.
per auto medics in san mateo who performed diagnostic package level II:
"engine makes a knocking noise, specially when cold and seems to get louder between 1,500 and 2,500 rpms.
warmed engine to normal operating temperature. checked engine vacuum readings, found readings are normal (24) inches vacuum. visually inspected under the vehicle and checked the pressure plate bolts just to make sure they are tight.
performed cylinder balance test. found when cylinder #4 was unplugged the engine noise was eliminated.
***found the rod bearing for cylinder #4 are scored along with the crankshaft journal**
what is needed to fix** replace all main and rod bearings, polishing crankshaft and having it nitrite coated."
