The springs you should be looking for are some hook springs, these are similar hook springs found on exhaust manifolds (Buddy Club, R crew, Toda) but i not quite sure about the size tho... they can be simply purchased from AJ racing if necessary, since Type 1 Racing is AJ. well as far as this situation looks this post is very UNESSARY because the buyer was aware of the missing springs, and the only reason that i can think of the the seller was not experience a leak would maybe be due to the carbon build on the inside creating some sort of seal, but to insure a tite seal springs are very necessary.

 

You could also buy a pack of them at Home Depot since Im not sure exactly what size you need. They have an "assorted" size pack that I saw last time I was there. They look similar to this:
