I need to thank NFRGUAMBOMB, (Daniel) and John_Z. both great to deal with. Couldn't have gone smoother.
Daniel, I hope your enjoying the Spoons, I know I did.
John_Z, I love the Volks, I think I'll stick with these for a while.

DO NOT BUY FROM "d0nkeyxPunch."
Here's my wonderful experience with this shady character named James. I PM him for a T1R exhaust 70R. He lives about 10 minutes or so away from me, so I go check out the exhaust in person. Everything appears to be good from the outside, but I do notice that the exhaust tip is extremely close to the bumper. I asked him if there was any clearance problems or whether or not the exhaust hit the bumper. He claimed no. I do check out the underside of the exhaust and his car and everything looks okay. He mentions to me (like he did state in his ad) that he did not have the clamps that clamp the mid pipe/test pipe to the axle back portion of the exhaust. Before I even asked, he reassured me that there was no exhaust leak because the smaller portion of the exhaust slip fit slides into the larger portion and because "when the exhaust heats up, the piping expands anyways" (his exact words). Me, being the trusting guy that I am, decide to take his word for it. I can't really check for leaks at this point b/c his car is pretty low.
Fast forward a couple days later when he decides to drop off the exhaust. He apparetly did not have time to drop it off earlier and wanted to drop it off at 10 p.m. at night. I go out there and it's dark so I'm unable to really thoroughly inspect the exhaust. I hand over my $700.00 to him and he pretty much gets me going even though I had asked a couple questions (he even fessed up to that when I met him at the gym a couple days later where he mentioned and apologized that he thought he was being rude b/c his girlfriend who had been driving him mentioned it). I thought nothing of it of course.
A couple days later, I decide to wipe down the exhaust so when I transport the exhaust to my friend's place in his car, that no dirt will get everywhere. I wipe down the piping and everything checks out, but then when i get to the tip, I notice three spots of imperfection (pictures will be up shortly). I don't really think much of it at this point, even though I thought it was pretty shady for him to push the exhaust onto me without even mentioning this (James even later mentioned in his PM's that he never saw these imperfections when he took off the exhaust and it must have been my doing. Shadiness personified is this donkeyxpunch/James character).
That weekend, my friend and I, who have been working on cars our entire driving lives (8+ years each) and have installed countless exhausts for our friends, put the exhaust on with no real hitches. Then when I fire up the exhaust, we check for leaks by putting our hands around the fitting from the header to the test pipe and then at the slip fit (where James claimed there would be no exhaust leak). Sure enough, there was an exhaust leak. After unbolting and refitting the exhaust multiple times, there was no alleviation of the leak. I then tried calling James on his cell phone but after two rings, he turned off his phone. At this point, I still trusted that James was a good guy, and was probably busy, but after the following events occurred, I have reason to believe that he was a scammer all along.
I decide to wait a couple days to see if the exhaust would heat up and take care of the slip fit like James claimed. Nope. James and I then had a series of PM's wherein he continues to lie about NO exhaust leak. He also then claims that he "checked" for exhaust leaks prior to installing on his car and even before taking off his exhaust. Of course, he mentions that he never HEARD an exhaust leak. After my last PM to him stating that you may not necessarily "hear" an exhaust leak, but could feel it, of course he PMs me back conveniently stating that he did feel for the exhaust leak. Big surprise.
At this point, I'd like my money back from this guy. Of course, private party sales guarantee nothing, but I bought the exhaust under false pretenses and claims from this shady guy named James/Donkeyxpunch. I think that this would warrant a void on the fact that it was a private party purchase and he should fess up and give me my money back.
The exhaust leak is not entirely all that bad and the tip imperfection is only cosmetic, but I was ensured the exhaust was in mint condition and had no leak.
He is now basically saying in his PMs to me that I'm a liar and just trying to get back on the sale. I have my friend as a witness who saw the imperfections prior to installation as well as the exhaust leak, since he was the one to even mention that we should feel for one.
I would recommend that no one do any business with this guy. He may just lie to you too and tell you that you're $%#& out of luck when you find out about the problem.

LOL..wow.
My side to maybe clarify things. I bought the exhaust from Ro_Ja boy (very respected member here on s2ki) first. I installed it and CHECKED for exhaust leaks. By the word CHECK, it means everything from sound and putting my hand around the pipes where it connects to header and the midpipe. Paul, you mention you have been working on putting exhaust for 8+ years. Well, I've been working on my cars for 8 years as well. I do my own maintenance on the s2k. Prior to this, I did my own engine swaps for friends and mine, ALL maintenance. So I am not new when it comes to wrenching on cars. Anywho, I decide to sell the exhaust later to free up some funds.
llxzxll (Paul) PMs me and says he wants to buy the exhaust. We meet up at my place to check out the exhaust. He inspects the exhaust by looking underneath and the tip area. He mentions the tip is close to bumper and I told him yes but it shouldn't be a problem. He seemed very "iffy" about buying the exhaust. I told him I'm not in a hurry to sell the exhaust because I still liked it. I even told Paul DONT FEEL PRESSURED to buy it. I even gave him a test drive with the exhaust on so he could hear the sound of it. He liked it and says he will buy it. Even then, I told him don't feel pressured. I even told him that I can deliver it to his place if he wishes and he said that would be great.
So I inspect the exhaust underneath the car and check for any leaks in case there is something wrong. There WAS NOTHING. Now keep in mind, exhaust leaks cannot exist on a slip fit unless the pipe is all jacked up in which case the pipes were in great condition. The mid-pipe from the header side slips inside very snug to the exhaust side. Also the exhaust gets pushed towards the exhaust side. Also as you drive the metal will expand and it will seal itself. There cannot be any exhaust leak. The exhaust fits really tight so it can't come apart. Spring clamps have nothing to do with exhaust leaks. Its there to keep the exhaust together in case something happened. I also checked the exhaust leak by sound and by feel. Also little bit of my AP1 rear bumper did touch the tip. Anywho, so I took off the exhaust and delivered to his house. Prior to this, we couldn't meet up because he was busy. So I told him Monday night and he says okay. He could have said in the daytime but HE AGREED to me.
Anyways, I come by his house to drop it off. he comes out and asks more of the same questions about the exhaust. However I was annoyed because he sounded flaky and I didn't go through the hassle of taking it off for no reason. Anyways, he inspects the exhaust. He gives me the money. I told you PAUL that I WILL HELP YOU INSTALL IT if you need help.
A week or so pass and I run into him at the gym. I ask him if he liked the exhaust and he says he hasn't put it on yet. He tells me he wants to sell it to get some other exhaust because he feels it will be too loud. Keep in mind, this guy NEVER calls me tells me about this "exhaust imperfections". When he did call, he called to see if I was going to the gym and not about the exhaust. However 2 weeks later, I get a PM from this guy. He says he wants to sell it and he asks how I fixed the exhaust leak, and asks if I could sell it for him. I tell him I don't know what he's talking about. That becomes the subject of the arguement, and how it came to this mess. He got mad because I told him I CANNOT SELL THINGS FOR OTHERS and the exhaust is his now. Paul used this so called exhaust leak the tip blemish to make me take it back or sell it for him. He keeps on saying that I should sell it for him because as a seller I should do that, but I told him to get a membership and sell it on his own. He also says I should buy it back from him because I didn't tell him about the exhaust imperfections when he inspected himself in person. Also I did check on my own as well. Why am I obligated to sell things for just because he was iffy from the get-go.
Paul, no one forced you to buy this exhaust. I told you not to feel pressured into buying it. You got butt hurt because I wouldn't sell it for you. Paul, you just think there is an exhaust leak JUST BECAUSE I told you I lost the spring clamps. This will go back and forth since you are saying your right and I'm defending on my behalf. All I can give you and others is my words that I did thoroughly check for flaws. I have sold many things here on s2ki and people can vouch for me. Others could take this and judge for themselves who's right or wrong.

Okay James. Looks like pretty much everything you typed out is chronologically correct. Yes about a day or so before you dropping off the exhaust (like I mentioned) b/c I was out of town. Also yes I did call about the gym, but that was not the phone call I was mentioning. The call I was talking about was Friday afternoon when I actually installed the exhaust. The imperfections were there when I cleaned the exhaust a day or two after buying the exhaust when I wiped down the exhaust. I didn't mention it b/c I thought you were a cool guy and could live with it.
To say that I was butt hurt b/c you wouldn't sell the exhaust for me is completely false. I was angered b/c you sold me an exhaust that had an imperfection that you mentioned would not be there, so obviously any potential buyer would be annoyed. The reason I wanted YOU to sell it was b/c I wanted my hands to be clean of this mess, and the responsibility on you. Why should I take a hit financially for an exhaust I barely used that doesn't perform as specificied during the initial sale. The only reason I was annoyed that you wouldn't sell the exhaust was b/c it seems even more suspect that you don't want ANYTHING to do with the exhaust after you sold it to me. That seems like a red flag to any honest person to me.
I even gave you the courtesy of letting you know that I was not pleased b/c it had the leak you mentioned would not be there and that you could have the exhaust back at the same price. I even let you know that I'd be posting up about the sale, and you basically told me to go f off. You pretty much called me a liar about the exhaust leak by saying I was trying to back out of the deal. PLEASE feel free to meet up with me and feel the exhaust leak. If you can man up about that, then maybe we can settle this like civilized, honest people.
'Nuff said. We can let the readers decide who is right or wrong like you said.

Vouch for james, Known him for years and saw this exhaust on his car with no problems.
I Have delt with penny hustlers before and wash them down the drain
If you have working on cars for 8+ years you should have seen any problems off the batt and called him on it right then and there.
If you would have pulled that "can i have my money back " on me i would
have told you to **** off on the first phone call.
You won't give james a bad name, because he is a good seller.
Next time you buy somthing use your head.

I'll vouch for the exhaust as well. It did not leak when it was on my car and I didn't have the springs on my car either. I would check to make sure that it is slipped on all the way. Also, you can buy the springs to hold the exhaust from any home store such as Home Depot or Lowes if you think that is the problem. Again, the exhaust DID NOT leak on my car and James is a stand up guy!

Thanks Ryan N. and Ryan. lol
After I bought it from Ryan (Ro_ja_boy) and installed it on my car I have never taken the exhaust off other than when I sold it to this Paul guy. I handle my things with great care especially when I take it off and install it.

I'm not here to make enemies. I do believe this thread was created to post up bad experiences and I consider this a bad experience.
Have all the friends in the world vouch for you, James. Doesnt change the situation between you and I.
Next time Mr. Novak, learn how to read before you make a comment like "you should have seen any problems off the batt [sic]..." I mentioned that I was unable to get underneath the car b/c it was low. I'm sure you could vouch for that too.
