Default WTB Track Day S2K - Well Sorted

First Name: Richard

Price desired: The administrator insists on this, even though it doesn't really make sense since modified track day cars can be in many states of development, can be successful front running cars, or just projects (I'm not looking for a project). So let's say around $20,000 so the administrator doesn't lock this thread.

Contact: email me at richard350z@sbcglobal.net

More details:

I'm sorry I let my '03 AP1 track day S2K go, even though the motor was blown. I could have had it running again for the cost of a new motor.

So I'm looking for a well-sorted, fast S2K track day car with a good quality rollbar or cage, preferably in SoCal. Prefer 2003, 2004, or 2005 model year. Looking for car with aero (big rear wing is a plus); prefer hardtop. Double adjustable coil overs desired. Stripped out interior is fine. Color doesn't really matter, except that I will pay a bonus for Yellow, and I don't like Black.

Please be honest with me about tracking history of car, lap times, what has broken and been replaced, oil blowback issues, and condition of engine and other drivetrain components. I won't BS you either. Thanks!

Follow this link and end your search. Worth the drive to get this one as it doesn't get any better. He may also have it posted here but not sure where, the NASA forums was easier for me to find.

I was going to post a link to this one. About as good as it gets honestly.

Contact jeff (living in the redline) or aaron directly with speed ventures. I know that his gutted and caged s2k is for sale...

Ameer, selling your s2k again??? What're you thinking of this time if richard does buy it?

Im still modding it, will be at the first S2k challenge event I think (27th right?). If it sells I'm going to invest in a home. I'm not avidly seeking to post the car for sale truth be told, and I don't mind putting off buying real estate. Just figured I'd see if I could help Richard help me

I'll be happy if it doesn't sell either, and to be honest that silverstone car seems more Richards cup of tea than mine. Mine would be better suited for a double duty car for daily/track use which gauging from Richard's last S2000 isn't what he usually looks for in a car. I could be wrong though

Thanks. Aaron's car doesn't work because I want a track day car that is registered that I can insure and drive back and forth to the track.

Sounds like my perfect track car too - something along the lines of Mike Tsay's car is what I'd eventually want to build my s2k up to (streetable, but still respectably fast). Maybe take Justin up on his offer... Also, you just barely missed it by 3 weeks or so. Mike just sold Ed's car...

As for Ameer - keep the S2K this time. Figured you would learn by now that being w/o an S2K doesn't work out so well for you...

Hope to see you at Buttonwillow - I'm trying to get my car sorted out for that event. I just ordered a BBK - hopefully it gets here in time. And, I need tires - not sure what street tires to get.
