I am running a Brembo BBK, and there is no way in HELLLLL that i will work. Not only would I need like a 20mm spacer probable just so the rim face will clear the caliper but the inner barrel won't even clear the top of the BBK (it rubs)

maybe Im confused...so why do you want x8 rims? Your going to sell them and get something else?

Anyway, hope your deal falls through. I was just talking to my friend about this set up this weekend. He wanted to sell his brand new set of 17x8 to buy a 17x9 set for the fronts.

The x8 rims will clear my BBK set up, a local member let me test fit and it cleared perfectly. Reason is the x8 are using a different wheel barrel to my understanding to the x9's which give the x8's more clearance. I got the x9's just to see what kind of spacer I'd need...and the result was I needed a crazy ass spacer and the inside of the wheel barrel was touching the brake caliper

^ohhhhhhhhhhhh wow. Good info! Then i will fwd this to my friend if he ever wants to get a bbk. I did notice on his set how one did sit much further in than the other. One had a lip and the other did not.

well, if he is still interested, like i said, his set is new, sitting in his room.
